The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has felicitated with the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, and Benin people on the celebration of the Emoro Traditional Festival.
Obaseki in a statement prayed that the traditional festival brings forth more blessings and prosperity to the Royal Father, the Government and people of Edo State.
The governor said: “I congratulate His Royal Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin, and all Benin people at home and in the Diaspora, on the celebration of the Emoro Traditional Festival.
“All these years, our people, residents, and our neighbours have continued to live in peace and harmony with one another in an atmosphere that has nurtured sustainable socio-cultural and economic growth and development.
“It is in line with this progressive trajectory of our people that the age-long festival has been revived to further foster cultural growth and the spirit of oneness and togetherness.
“It is my prayer that the Emoro Traditional Festival brings forth more blessings and prosperity to our Royal Father, the Government and people of Edo State.
