Akwa Ibom State owned airline, Ibom Air has again added another feather to its name as it has been awarded the Best On-Time Performance Airline in Nigeria and the Best Airline in Nigeria for 2022 at the annual Travelers Award hosted by the African Travel Quarterly Magazine.
This is the 3rd consecutive year Ibom Air has received the Best Airline in Nigeria award.
According to the organizers of the 2023 CHINET Aviacargo Conference which took place at Marriott Hotel, Lagos between August 9th and 10th, 2023, the two awards are a testament to Ibom Air’s unwavering commitment to excellence, despite daunting challenges and a demanding business environment.
Receiving the awards on behalf of the airline, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Ibom Air, George Uriesi, dedicated the awards to employees, stakeholders, and, most importantly, customers of Ibom Air who he said have continued to patronize the brand from its inception.
According to Uriesi: “These awards validate our relentless efforts at providing top-notch services and maintaining a high level of performance in the Nigerian airline industry. The management and staff of Ibom Air are greatly encouraged by this consistent recognition.”
Ibom Air is a limited liability company wholly owned by the Akwa Ibom State Government, which aims to set the standard as an Airline of choice for passengers by focusing on schedule reliability, on-time departures, and excellent service.
The airline presently has a fleet of seven Aircraft: five (5) Bombardier CRJ 900 and two (2) Airbus A220-300, covering seven (7) destinations.
