Determined to raise revenue generation of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo has directed a committee to be set up to explore the revenue potential at the country’s airports.
Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, FAAN Mr Abdullahi Yakubu-Funtua in a statement says, in the course of receiving briefing from the FAAN Management that the minister observed that there are so many potential opportunities for ramping up of the revenue profile of the organization.
According to Funtua: “To this end, the Honourable Minister has directed that these sources of revenue be explored to the fullest”.
Tonachieve this, the FAAN spokesman deckared that a committee has been set up under the chairmanship of the Permanent Secretary in the ministry of aviation, Dr Emmanuel Meribole, and given four weeks to come up with a comprehensive report and proffer solutions.
The committee is also to look at advertisements at the Airports, Ticketing System at the FAAN Facilities and Waivers on payment of FAAN Services.
