All is now set for the crowning of the King and Queen of the air for year 2023 at the 13th Nigeria Aviation Awards contest which is being sponsored by the United States based Santos Aviation, a renowned aircraft interior refurbishing firm.
The king and queen of the air has a price tag of N1 million.
The annual contest is cpnducted for selecting Nigerian aviation ambassadors amongst cabin crew members from the various airlines.
According to the statement issued by the organiser and coordinator of NIGAV, Mr Fortune Idu, the contest is to promote better inflight passengers’ experience and excellent onboard services from the cabin crew.
Idu equally said the aim of the co test is to recognise the good work of cabin crews in air transport service delivery.
Winners will go home with N1m and other gift items to become Nigerian air ambassadors for corporate social responsibility.
The Acting Director General of NCAA who was once a NIGAV award recipient and have excelled in his piloting career, is expected to crown the would be winner of the King and Queen of the Air contest.
The winners will among others initiate and carry out a CSR programme starting with a NIGAV charity cash donation to the SOS Children’s Village and specific aviation safety-based ‘community awareness campaigns.
The event Idu said has remarkably grown to become the hallmark of the sector for rewarding excellence and inspiring healthy competition.
