The much talked about arrival of the Nigeria Air aircraft into Nigeria as earlier announced by the outgoing minister of aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika may be a tall dream afterall.
Information just gathered has indicated that the purported aircraft in question though may carry the Nigerian logo on arrival, but will be operated by Ethiopian Airlines officials, the core technical investor in the Nigeria Air project.
The aircraft would be making its technical landing in Abuja.
The mystery aircraft which is originally scheduled to fly to Turkey for interior decoration is being hurriedly diverted to Nigeria to paint the picture that it is directly being operated into Nigeria in preparations towards the take off of Nigeria Air.
The reason for the arranged “technical landing” according ro sources is to avoid running foul of the “contempt of court” as already been stated by the domestic airlines.
In less than 24 hours to the arrival of the aircraft, key players and other Nigerians are waiting to see how the drama plays out even as the domestic airlines and other stakeholders are gearing up for the next line of action.
